Some of the best ambient I've heard

I won't say I'm an expert, because that would be a filthy lie. However I do run a lot of pen and paper games, and I always hit newgrounds for music to emphasize the atmosphere. Lately the ambient section has been full of slow sad music, and a lot of it isn't very good.

I stumbled on your stuff and gotta say its a cut about the rest of what I've heard thus far. This track especially caught my interest, and I'll probably be using it for a nightclub scene somewhere. So thank you, and keep doing what you're doing!

Tulvadar responds:

I am truly happy because of your words. Thank you! I would be grateful and overjoyed if you could listen to my other works as well, tell me what you think and see if you like any other songs that i made.

Just to bring the score back up

Because that kid decided to give you a useless, meaningless review, and this song in no way deserves it.

Very well written, good classical string pieces are harder and harder to find in the digital age, but there are some things that simply demand the classics. I'm running a pen and paper campaign, and I was on Newgrounds looking for background music/inspirational music while I finish writing parts of it.

This and Eminent part 1 are the Senate house pieces. Good strong strings fit the classic trial so well, there's simply no other option at this point.

I will say I like the first part more, though I couldn't tell you why, just like the progression more I guess.

All in all, both parts are wonderful, I'm amazed so few have heard this piece, its truly a crime, and for that you get full marks from me. Here's to hoping more people hear your beautiful music!

ca1en responds:

It means a lot to hear that man. I've always loved classical music and yes it is definately a lot harder to come by in this day.

I'm glad you appreciate my music, I haven't made much recently and I haven't really had much reason to continue my string peices, however reviews like this definately make me consider making more.

Thank you very much.

Perfect title

The title is perfect for this piece, I like the rolling feeling it provides, I get the feeling of a fancified sci-fi version of the story of Icarus. Kid flying across the seas with a steel set of wings for the first time. Ups, downs and flying with mechanical seagulls.

Even the beginning gives me that feeling of jumping off the tower, eyes closed, hoping they work, and then slowly opening your eyes and realizing just how free you are.

*Thumbs up* nice job! ... Now I'm going to have to build me some wings...

Tx-Maniac-xT responds:

Heck yeah. Lol, those wings might be a little hard to build. But good luck. Thanks for the review man.

synthy scratchy guitar goodness!

I like the scratch/synth/juice that comes with those guitar sounds, its the feeling of gears rolling and moving. I don't know what your motivation behind this was, but listening to it I see an army, first you hear the rumbles of it and see the ground shake, then about :18 you start seeing the glint of steel and oil, around ;29 you get an overhead view of the army, then at :52 I can see the infantry bots grinding along over the dirt, at 1:20ish they start becoming heavier infantry followed by archers and long legged spider bots at 1:39 and then I see the full set of the armor division, treaded tanks and heavier steel snowplow tanks at 2:14 crushing everything underneath them...

...

...That was a huge mumbo-jumbo-jargon post...I apologize...

Tx-Maniac-xT responds:

No need for apology. That was a good description. Goes really well with the song. Similar to what I was picturing. Great review, Thanks bro.

Nice

I was browsing your stuff, finding more interesting things, and I wasn't real interested in this piece, I was about to click away and then it hit the 1 minute mark and exploded my jaw hit the floor...

...

In fact I think it's still there *retrieves* very nice, not exactly attention grabbing in the beginning but definately attention holding if you let it build up.

Tx-Maniac-xT responds:

Sweet. That's perfect. Love your reviews Lawless. You're the man now dog. Thanks.

Good

Not quite life-stealing for me, but definately a good piece.

Tx-Maniac-xT responds:

This was like my first song. Lol, I look back and shake my head to this one. But I had to start somewhere.

Kickass

I tell you, I've taken several of your songs and put them in a playlist, and I listen to them while playing ut3... I have to say I kick so much more ass while listening to your music. Great piece, perfect balance and sound flucuation.

Tx-Maniac-xT responds:

Awesome, Thanks man. I'm glad my music could help. Keep kickin' ass bro.

No words

There are no words to describe the intense awesome feeling that I get listening to this song...
I downloaded it, and I have been listening to it for 5 days straight...

Simply no words...

Tx-Maniac-xT responds:

That's how I felt about it when I finally play'd it back to myself when I was done with it. Thanks man, means alot. This song has alot of passion in it. Thanks again.

Well done

I like it, it's got a great sound and feel to the instruments, the only reason I gave it an 8 was because the static noises seem to overpower too much in some places and make it a little too grating for my liking.

SirShikari responds:

I put too many layers in :/ On headphones it usually sounds a lot clearer, but thanks for the 8 anyhow :P
